Fall (Pol) review - Metal Rules

When I ever listen to Black Metal then exactly to this. The gents Unvit and Razor come from Poland and celebrate on their first ep exactly this Doom, melancholiac and atmospheric Black Metal which gets under the skin. No speeding and no kick around. Everything very carried by and depressive. The opener "...W Jesieni" is yet the jauntiest title at "Samozatracenie". The following over 10 minutes running time long "Fall Vol.1“ represents for me the absolutely highlight of this cd. Heartbreaking melodies pair with halting and monotonous but yet ears adulating guitar riffs. But also the following "Duch We Mnie Umiera" casts with its again about 10 minutes running time a spell over you. With the extremely successful DRUDKH cover "Glare of Autumn" it then sometime already decays a much too short half an hour of suicidal spread Black Metal. But this is moaning on a high level. In that case the cd is turned out pretty luscious for an ep. I use here sometime as an similarily comparison a mixture of MY DYING BRIDE, BURZUM and KATATONIA (above all the lead guitars remind me of them). But that's only a guesstimate pointing the way ahead for you. Because nothing sounds really stolen here.

So, simply buy the cd, insert it, close your eyes and the mental cinema already starts. Simply stop by online at their label http://templeoftorturous.com/ or listen to a few songs of them at: www.myspace.com/autumnalvoid.
